Freedman Gallery at Albright College, Reading, PA

This was the first significant survey of José Villalobos’ work outside of the Southwest.

Villalobos is known for artistically protesting culturally-accepted traits of toxic masculinity through performance, installation, sculpture, drawings, and fashion. The exhibition Joto Fronterizo is the culmination of Villalobos’ most important works to date.
